I observe physical phenomena, biological growth, turbulent flows, the orbits of chaotic systems and look for the algorithm that governs them.

That formula becomes the code that generates the forms. The aim is not to imitate nature: it is to find the hidden order in its chaos and use it as an engine.

The process is a collaboration: I indicate the formula to an AI system that translates it into code; the code generates the starting behaviour. Then I work on the parameters — repulsion radius, attraction force, growth threshold — and push the system toward equilibria the formula alone would never have reached.

The formula is the map, but I choose the route.

The final output is a fine art print: a single frame that crystallises every previous state of the form's evolution — every trace remains visible, like a long exposure where the path does not disappear into the final image.

Morphogen, Dendrite and Phage, my first series, apply this method to the logic of differential growth: a curve that subdivides and repels itself, the biology code governing membranes, dendrites, organisms. In Morphogen a mouse click introduces the perturbation that drives growth, like a molecular morphogen. In Dendrite a multi-octave fractal field modulates repulsion locally; the structure branches outward searching for space, like a neuron forming. In Phage a divergence-free vortex field bends the growth trajectories without changing the rules: phenotypic mutation, not genetic.

What I observe in the real world is never just a visual prompt, it is the starting point for finding the formula that governs it.
